Q: What is OnCare?
A: OnCare is an Application Service Provider (ASP) featuring software that is used in managing child care centers. OnCare hosts, backs up and secures all center data.

Q: Why is a web-based solution important to me, my staff and families?
A:

  • Child care center owners, directors, managers can manage their business from any Internet-connected computer and enjoy the benefits of online marketing and parent communications.
  • Data is backed up in a data center using state-of-the-art technology to protect its security and accessibility.
  • No new expensive server hardware or software required.
  • No in-house technical support required.
  • Child care center staff can look up schedules, benefits, and update their contact information
  • Families keep their key contact information current and see what's going on at the center, no matter how busy they get

Q: What do I need to use OnCare's online child care services?
A: The only thing you need to get started is a PC with access to the Internet (not dial-up).

Q: What's included in the monthly fee?
A: The fee covers the use of our hardware, software, databases, and system administration. It buys you the peace of mind that comes with knowing the technical issues are being addressed by technical specialists.

Q: Does the client own the entire website?
A: The client pays for the design and placement of the content, not the website "framework". OnCare continually invests in creating and enhancing the framework for the benefit of the entire industry.

Q: Does OnCare host e-mail?
A: We can arrange this for you. There is a one-time consulting fee to get this set up. Hosting a website is different from hosting e-mail.

Q: Do we work with professional photographers who will come to your child care center to photograph children/facilities for posting on the website?
A: Currently, we work with Picaboo and their network of professional photographers to take photos of the children and create child care memory books for center's to sell. Some centers use the memory books as a fund-raising activity. And the photos can be added to the website later.

Q: What if I already have a website? Can I still benefit from OnCare services?
A: Absolutely. The OnCare team will work with you to optimize the site to meet your online business needs and integrate it with OnCare's back office business functions.

Q: Is there any time I won't be able to reach my website?
A: The OnCare applications are designed to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except for periodically scheduled updates. And we'll always give advance notice for any updates.

Q: Can I correct or update attendance and other employee, child and family information?
A: Yes, the company admin (Director/Owner) can correct or update employee or parent information.
