| KU Online Services Inc. dba OnCareTM (OnCare) understands the importance of protecting the privacy of all users and account holders of the OnCare website and application. We believe that, as our online visitor, you have the right to know our practices regarding the information we collect when you visit our website and what type of information is collected. To help ensure a rewarding online experience for all visitors, we provide this summary of our information practices.
These guidelines only apply to your visits to the OnCare website application, which is operated by OnCare. Other websites that are linked to or from the OnCare website application may have different policies; therefore, please review the privacy policy notices on those websites for details.
The Information We Collect
Through this website and application, OnCare collects two kinds of information: general information and personal information. General information is not specific to you and cannot be traced in any way to you. Such information includes certain non-personal information from visitors to the site (such as the time of day the site is accessed) and certain information in aggregate form (such as statistics relating to the number and frequency of visitors).
Are cookies used by your website or your application?
We may use "cookies” to identify your individual preferences within our website and application and to analyze web traffic. Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
In addition, OnCare, or third parties on its behalf, may collect anonymous information from visits to our site through the use of "web beacons.” A web beacon is an electronic image that enables us to record anonymous data about visits to our website. We may use this data to analyze statistics to improve our customer service. No personal data is collected through the use of web beacons on our site.
Personal information or data is specific to you and includes such things as your e-mail address, name, and mailing address. This type of information is sometimes called "personally identifiable information." The personal information collected through the OnCare website and application is information you choose to supply or are required to supply by OnCare in response to the registration, payment for services, and enrollment information processes related to the registration of your child at a OnCare-supported childcare provider. This data is processed by OnCare, but maintained by the childcare provider that receives services from OnCare.
Session IDs are used to authenticate a user throughout their entire experience in the OnCare application. Users must "Logout” to ensure that their Session ID has ended. Inactive application users will be logged out of the website application automatically after fifteen minutes of inactivity.
OnCare has designed this site for parents and adult caregivers, not children. For this reason, OnCare does not knowingly collect personal information from children who may visit this site, and OnCare does not want to include any such information in its customer databases. We recommend that parents monitor their children's use of the Internet. Information related to a child that is gathered on this application is used only to facilitate enrollment at a school. The data is not used by OnCare in any way.
Company and Provider Information is specific to the childcare provider using the OnCare application. OnCare segregates data from different users and providers to maintain security of such data.
How We Use the Information OnCare uses general information only in ways that do not identify you, the specific user, which means that it is never linked to personal information. OnCare provides a service to childcare providers to collect and process your personal information as necessary for childcare provider operations. We may disclose personal information to third parties who complete transactions or perform services on our behalf, transactions on your behalf, or transfers related to providing products or services to you. We restrict the manner in which these third parties may use and disclose personal information about you without your consent. In order to improve our site and to better serve you, OnCare may also share your personal information with its subsidiaries, affiliates, legal successors, and trusted third parties.
From time to time, OnCare may also contact you about updates or special offers. When managing your online account with OnCare, you may also decide not to share your personal information for marketing purposes.
